The 18-plus space offers drinks, your own pool and plenty of loungers to soak up the sun, sans screaming children and splashing. These are all pretty self-explanatory, but as you’re browsing your options, pay attention to the imagery and floor plans offered for each space. There are slight differences, such as how much room you get on your balcony, the size of the interior sitting areas, etc. Jogging may not immediately come to mind when you think of things to do at sea, but it probably should. You don’t have to walk on water, you just have to get on a Carnival cruise. Jogging tracks are available on all Carnival ships, and are even padded for long-distance comfort.

Suite (OS)

We attended the cooking demonstration at David's Steakhouse on the first sea day, and competed at "Hasbro's Sorry" in the Renaissance Lobby. You'll also find daily puzzles and brain busters activity sheets on the counter at the Piazza Cafe. These include crossword puzzles, sudoku and cryptic word challenges.

Indulge in one of the many treatments at the large spa and keep ship-shape at the state-of-the-art fitness center. On February 5, 2017, the liner was chartered by "Bare Necessities Tour and Travel" for the agency's "Big Nude Boat Cruise". The themed cruise experience was offered on a 9-day roundtrip itinerary from homeport Tampa FL (Feb 5-14) with call ports Key West, Half Moon Cay Island, Grand Turk Island, and Amber Cove (Dominicana).

Sample Caribbean fare, dominate at the foosball table, enjoy some sweet tunes from live musicians and sip our tasty signature private-label brew, ThirstyFrog Red. Supervised youth activities are offered for kids in three different age groups at their "summer camp at sea," while teens have their own area, plus a video arcade. Follows the complete list of Carnival Pride lounges, clubs and other entertainment venues for kids, teens, and adults. CCL has the Corporation's largest fleet as number of vessels and GT-tonnage (ship sizes/volumes and passenger capacities). In 2023, CCL had ~9% (by revenue) and ~19% (passengers) share of the cruise industry's worldwide market. In 2024, the parent company (Carnival Corporation) had ~51% stake in the US$64+ billion industry.

Some of those options are a set price and some have a la cart menu pricing. Only 50% of the dining options are included meaning you might spend more while on the ship due to the additional fees. Toiletries include shampoo and body wash dispensers in the shower, along with bar soap and facial tissues on the vanity. Unless in a suite, bathrooms are outfitted with showers only; vanities are sufficiently large with counter space on each side of the sink plus three shelves on each side of the mirror.

Interior with Window (Obstructed View)

Gaming tables include roulette, craps, blackjack, poker and more. The casino hosts tournaments throughout the cruise, including Texas Hold'em, slots, blackjack and more. For those seeking some adults-only time, the Serenity Adults-Only Retreat has you covered.

Don’t get us wrong — a Carnival Pride Vista Suite stateroom is a lovely room with all the suite fixings. But the thing to see here is truly the view that your balcony affords you. A Vista Suite features a wraparound balcony that provides wide, stunning views when you’re outside, and a uniquely panoramic inside view thanks to a wall of windows that brings more of that outside inside. The Pride is one of four Spirit-class ships currently sailing with Carnival. Spirit-class ships are PANEX ships, which means they were designed to be able to travel through the Panama Canal locks.

Circle C welcomes preteens and teens ages 12 to 14 to engage in scavenger hunts, compete at karaoke or challenge one another in basketball or mini-golf. Toward the end of the cruise, the program will usually host a Pride Prom, for which young teens can get all dressed up. Carnival Pride just recently wrapped up a European summer sailing season before taking a transatlantic journey to reposition in the Caribbean. Cruises offered are on the longer side, about a week or longer on average. Pretend to belt out your favorite tunes as you compete against your cruisers on the ship’s version of the popular show, Lip Sync Battle.

ONBOARD DINING

A special multi-course gourmet dinner is always a hit with foodies and includes a special galley tour. The layout of Carnival Pride is different from other cruise ships we've been on, so that took some getting used to as well. The majority of shops, entertainment venues and lounges are located on Decks 2 and 3 with the pools; the remaining dining and bar options, along with sports activities, are located on Decks 9, 10 and 11. View Carnival's cruise ship staterooms, including suites, balconies, oceanviews and interior staterooms.

To see if you would save money with a drink package, try our Drink Package Calculator. Attending Camp Ocean is free for all children throughout the day until 10 p.m. At this time, the camp changes to a babysitting service, known as "Night Owls," which is open from 10 p.m. The cost is $6.75 per hour, per child plus a 15 percent gratuity per child.

Then, of course, for adults, there’s the Serenity pool mentioned above. Try the two water slides and water fun park for something a little more adrenaline-inducing. The grand suite may not have as impressive a balcony as the vista suite, but it does offer expansive room inside the cabin, with a large sitting area, oversized tub and a big vanity.

The ship debuted on January 12, 2002, christened by astronaut Tamara Jernigan, in Port Canaveral, Florida. After, the ship began sailing around the Caribbean from its Florida base. At more than 20 years old, Carnival Pride is one of the oldest ships in the Carnival fleet.

In the evening, kids do have the option of having dinner at Camp Ocean. Menu items include chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, pasta, hot dogs, grilled cheese, hamburgers and other kid-friendly dishes. Located on Deck 9 at the front of the ship, the fitness center actually has two levels. Entry is on Deck 9, which is where you'll find men and women's locker rooms, as well as cardio equipment like ellipiticals, treadmills and bikes.
